Creating sculpture, is the act of bringing into existence the paraphrase of a person, place or thought. I strive when working, not to simply translate a subject’s essence into a harmonious, abstract, geometric grouping of forms. But to transpose the subject’s reality as I perceive it exists in nature and synthesize that distinctive fingerprint with my interpretation of the entity’s form. Composing with precisely woven and patinated geometric solids arranged within a circumscribed architecture, I attempt to evoke the subject’s underlying pattern in my work.
