Brian Slagle

Brian Slagle, a Frederick native, graduated with a degree in painting from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Brian’s work has evolved and expanded over time beyond painting and into sculpture and large scale, site specific installations. His use of old and reclaimed materials create a sense of nostalgia and storytelling that focus on the landscapes and traditions that are disappearing around us. He also collaborates in an ongoing traveling project called “The Swinging Bridge” that started in Frederick and has made stops in Baltimore and Savannah.”The Swinging Bridge” will be returning for an exhibition at Frederick Community College in fall of 2011.
