Mark Burrier

Mark Burrier is an illustrator, cartoonist, and designer. He has received awards from the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Print, American Illustration, 3x3 Magazine, HOW Magazine, STEP Inside Design, and the American Advertising Federation. His illustrations have been shown in galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, France, and Denmark.

Mark’s comics have been published internationally and have appeared in various notable books including Kramers Ergot. His comics have been Ignatz Award-nominated and named "Best Comic Book" by the Baltimore City Paper. Mark’s popular drawing blog, Rare Words (rarewords.org), is a collaborative blog where reader’s submit words that become the creative starting point for drawings. A hardcover collection of those drawings has just been published.

He and his wife live in Frederick, Maryland.
