As an artist with an admiration for the abstracted image, my goal is to create simplified, uplifting paintings that honor the land. Using nature to inform my work allows me to explore limitless visual possibilities and express impulses and experiences through color, shape and texture. I find it very hard to make a painting that has no reference to the landscape around me.
