Revealed through David Raimist’s photography is his ability to highlight the inconspicuous within the every day. Whether it is the colorful buildings of Mexico, the textures of an Italian market, the patterns of the Metro or the abstract in Adams Morgan, he purposefully aims his lens so that he may uncover the hidden geometric patterns, color, shadows, textures and contrasting elements in the world around us—if we just take the time to look. David’s images are conceived and captured in our natural surroundings and not in a studio. Photography is David’s way to escape the hectic nature of daily work and life. It forces him to slow down. It is his therapy.
