Carol Shaffer Smith

My love of travel is reflected in each piece that I hand build. No two houses are alike, and color variations and texture are a very important part of my work. It is my hope that each piece brings a happy memory to the viewer of a place they once visited or perhaps lived. The houses are kept small so they may appear in any nook or cranny solo or like a small scale neighborhood.

In 2011 and 2012 I was a featured artist at Gallery 555 in Washington DC. I was raised in Montana, but have resided in Maryland for several years.
