The Herd

Jane Byron

Painter and life-long Frederick County resident Jane Byron studied at The Maryland Institute College of Art and The University of Virginia. In more recent years she has also studied with local painters Ed Ramsburg and Mary Pfister. In addition to her abstract compositions in oil and acrylic, Jane’s recent work has focused on her impressions of landscapes and the occasional cow.

Jane lives and paints on a farm that was an integral part of the Battle of South Mountain, in the Middletown Valley.
