Charlie Barton is a contemporary artist from Baltimore, MD working primarily with the silk screen process. He makes architecturally themed images with subjects from his photography.
Raised by two architects, Charlie is instinctively drawn to urban landscapes and architectural subject matters, as well as the decay of environments and their physical structures. For his silk screen prints, Charlie uses his training as a garment printer, which he gathered during summers off from college. He has found that this experience combined nicely with his photography degree and graphic design minor. He seeks to create work that is both accessible and evokes nostalgia in the viewer.
